The Altamaha-ha is a 20- to 30-foot long river monster with large flippers and a seal-like snout that is said to inhabit the mouth of theĀ Altamaha River near Darien, Georgia. Although numerous accounts of sightings of the Altamaha-ha have apparently been made over the years, no hard proof has ever been brought forth. Based on the Brunswick News, the legend has the origins of its in Muscogee tradition.
